Greetings and welcome to the website of the Orangeburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. We are pleased that you took the time to visit our website to learn about the many ways our chapter is making a positive impact on the communities we serve.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc was founded on January 13, 1913 on the campus of Howard University by twenty-two brave college women who wanted to make a difference in their communities by becoming involved in major social, economic, and political issues.
The Orangeburg Alumnae Chapter, chartered on July 12 1943 as Alpha Tau Sigma Chapter, continues to maintain and embrace the vision of the Founders through our many public service projects. These projects support the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Educational Development, Economic Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.
We invite you to visit our website often and join us as we conduct our service projects. We are dedicated and committed to service and to making a difference in Orangeburg and Calhoun Counties.
